Below is the photo of Chinwuba Ekwueme, 42years and a father of three, who was allegedly butchered by the Fulani herdsmen in Egede, Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State (His Hometown) on Friday, 6th of November 2015.
The traditional ruler of Egede, Igwe Polycarp Oyigbo confirmed that such incidents of nomadic attacts repeatedly occur within, against their subjects.
However, he wondered why the Government had not taken necessary measures and actions to spell such recurrence in order to save the lives of their subjects/people from such wickedness, he Lamented
"I do not know whether it would have been better to allow them to take the law into their hands; so government should take appropriate actions to end the menace," he said. Lamenting the pain and anguish brought upon the community by the attackers, President General of the Egede Town Union, Clement Amuji, said: "The attack by these herdsmen has become a menace to our people. We have been complaining to the government; we have written several letters to Udi Local Government Council, and the District Police Officer (DPO), 9th-Mile. This has been happening; they have been destroying our crops and raping our women."
