The Former President of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo on Friday enjoined Nigerians to neglect the present clamor for the secession of the the area formally known and addressed as the Eastern Nigeria
He further stressed that the ideology was conceived in error. The former
President spelled out this at a public
discussion on Biafra, which was organized by Nextier Advisory in Abuja on Friday.
In his words, “Biafra as a secession issue is dead, and nobody should
follow that way. I see it as a platform rather than a cause."
Obasanjo while saying that he was been cautious of getting into a
debate on the "Biafra secession issue" said, "The agitation was born in
error and ignorance." According to Obasanjo, the secession issue has
been commercialised, as some people now use the course to extort money
from gullible people. The former President cited the issuance of Biafra
passport, "which takes one nowhere", as an example of some people making
industry out of the agitation.

INCREDIBLE: Father of 800 Children Said He Won't Rest Until They are 1000
A 41-year-old Simon Watson has been the into sperm donation business for 16 years, and has fathered 800 children.
He however said he wont rest until they are 1000. With a donation once a week, the unlicensed sperm donor has been in the profession for 16 good years.
‘The number of women using donated sperm to get pregnant is rising, but many find the cost of treatment at private clinics prohibitive. This has led some women to use unlicensed donors – but are they putting their health at risk?
During a BBC interview, he said:
“Usually one [baby] a week pops out. I reckon I’ve got about 800 so far, so within four years I’d like to crack 1,000. I’ve got kids all the way from Spain to Taiwan, so many countries. I’d like to get the world record ever, make sure no-one’s going to break it, get as many as possible.”
According to research, very few women are eligible for artificial insemination on the National Health Scheme (NHS) as the criteria are very strict. Private licensed clinics cost between £500 and £1,000 for each cycle of treatment. Men are allowed to father no more than 10 children. Watson charges £50 for his services – the “magic potion pot” – and most of his clients find him on Facebook.
When they contact him on Facebook, most of the clients ask him if he has any hereditary diseases. After which they meet with him and either book a room in the hotel or use the public toilets. Watson’s son manages his Facebook account for him.

BREAKING NEWS: Biafra Passport Accepted in Various Countries Across the Globe
The group known and addressed as Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign States of Biafra, (MASSOB), confirms that the Biafran Passports that was issued by the Biafran Directorate of Passport to its citizens are valid and accepted in various countries across the globe. It insisted that many citizens of Biafra had used the passport and traveled overseas without hitches
On that note, MASSOB’s National Director of Information, Sunny Okere-afor, has warned the federal government to stop seizing Biafra passport or threatening its holders.
In his words, “I assure you the Biafran passport is valid. Except Nigeria, other countries of the world accept Biafran passport and allow our citizens to travel with it. In Europe, North and South America, Biafra passport is accepted. Nigeria is the only country that seizes Biafran passport. Go to neighboring Ghana here, they will stamp the passport for you. Don’t be confused by the propaganda of the Nigerian government that there is nothing like Biafra passport.
“MASSOB appeals to Biafra citizens to procure their passport and use it to travel. If you doubt me, get a Nigerian passport while I have my Biafran passport; when we get to Europe, you will see who they will welcome than the other.
“Many people with Nigerian passport have been repatriated, but have you heard of anybody with Biafran passport receiving such ill-treatment?”
He maintained that the Biafran passport cost N5, 000 and could be renewed with N2, 000 and denied reports that people who bought the passport are being turned back at various airports

N- Delta Militants Has Threatened to Shut Down the activities of an Oil Firm in Rivers State
The Niger Delta Youth Movement, NDYM, in Rivers State, has threatened to shut down the activities of an oil firm, Total E and P Nigeria Limited, in its oil-rich environment if the management of the company fails to recall the over 46 indigenous workers it allegedly sacked.
The group, at the weekend in Port Harcourt, while expressing worry over the level of distress which the families of the disengaged staff of the company were facing, described the attitude of the company as disrespectful and demeaning to the host communities and the Niger Delta youths.
The group said it was ready to close down the operations of the multinational oil company in Egi Kingdom, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State if the sacked workers were not recalled to take up their various posts.
The Leader of the group, Mr Major Ekene, said they had closely followed the case of the sacked 46 workers , stressing that the strategy employed by the management of Total E&P Nigeria Limited in handling the matter was ostentatious.
He said: “The youths have exhausted all avenues known to us to call the oil company to order but Total E&P’s management has remained adamant.
“We demand the immediate recall of the 46 sacked workers, the full payment of their wages for the period in view, and the immediate conversion of all community contract staff to permanent staff or we are going to close down the company in three days time.”

Man Receives Death Sentence by Hanging after Stabbing his Friend to Death
One Mr Isma’il Umar, a
31-year-old man, was on Friday, December 18, 2015 sentenced to
death by hanging by a Kano High Court for stabbing his friend to
death following a misunderstanding.

The presiding Judge, Justice Nura Sagir, while delivering his
verdict said that from evidences before the court, the prosecutor proved
its case of culpable homicide against Umar.
Sagir
said that the evidences presented before the court with the exhibits tendered
by the prosecution as well as the defence linked the accused to the offence,
punishable by death.
However,
the judge recommended that the Committee on the Prerogative of Mercy could look
into the matter and if possible to commute the accused’s jail term to 35 years
imprisonment following a plea made by counsel to the accused.
The
counsel had disclosed that Umar had been in detention for 11 years, and that
the convict was now an adult to realize the consequences of his action.
The
medical doctor in charge of post-mortem test at the Murtala Mohammed Hospital,
Kano, Dr Isa Musa, had earlier testified that the deceased died as a result of
stabbing, even though Umar earlier denied committing the offence.
The
prosecution counsel, Mr Abdullahi Bature, told journalists that the judgment
was timely and in accordance with the rule of law.
In
his remarks, the defence counsel, Mr Ibrahim Cedi said his client was convicted
based on the evidences before the court.
He,
however, commended the judge for recommending that the Committee on Prerogative
of Mercy could look into the possibility of commuting the sentence to 35 years
imprisonment.
